Mike Dicken, Supply Chain Vice President, Unilever Thailand
Mike has 27 years of service with Unilever. His first 5 years were spent in R&D and working on European Innovation projects for Unilever’s Homecare business. He then transferred to supply chain for 5 years starting as a shift leader and eventually becoming a Factory Director.
In 2000 he moved into a global role as the first Category Planning Director for Homecare and Personal Care and spent 4 years as part of global brand teams driving the supply chain program for innovation and gross margin delivery in Latin America, USA and Southeast Asia and Australasia (SEAA). In addition, he led a number of strategic supply chain reviews designing supply chains for future capacity and technology capabilities.
In 2004 he moved to the Netherlands as the Factory Director and led the closure program for his site over a 4-year period securing futures for most employees and the safe and controlled closure of an old Unilever site.
In 2008 he moved to the Unilever Supply Chain Company in Switzerland as the Supply Chain Category Director for Spreads Europe. In 2011, he became VP Supply Chain for Personal Care Europe where he led major restructuring of the factory network following the acquisition of Sara Lee and Alberto Culver.
In August 2015 Mike was appointed VP Supply Chain for Thailand and VP Quality for SEAA where he is responsible for delivering the Supply Chain elements of Unilever’s Sustainable Living Plan, one of the corporate world’s most significant commitment to sustainability.
Mike is married to Sally and has 2 sons aged 13 and 15. Outside of working he runs triathlons, keenly follows rugby and is spending time exploring Thailand and SEAA with his family.
