Samantha Woods, Senior Project Manager, CSR Asia
Samantha is a Senior Project Manager and is responsible for sustainability consultancy projects ranging from research and reporting to strategy development and stakeholder engagement. Samantha led the team that organised the 2015 Shared Value Forum and subsequent workshops in Hong Kong. Her experience also includes facilitation of meetings, benchmarking, and issue-specific research, including a briefing paper on opportunities for inclusive business in the shrimp value chain. In the past four years with CSR Asia, Samantha’s clients included The Bank of East Asia, Hong Kong Airport Authority, NWS Holdings, Wheelock and Company, The Nature Conservancy, Oxfam, Sun Hung Kai Properties, Wynn Macau and Gammon Construction.
Prior to joining CSR Asia, Samantha spent three years working for an environmental non-profit organisation in Beijing, where she managed China’s largest youth conservation movement, the Green Long March, spanning 50 universities in 17 provinces. She spent a further two years in Beijing championing sustainability at boutique travel company WildChina, where she also managed the UK client portfolio and several corporate events. She has extensive experience facilitating cross-sector communication and has worked with companies such as BP, Starbucks, Goldman Sachs and Swire Pacific to design and execute bespoke CSR and employee engagement projects in Mainland China. Since returning to Hong Kong, her hometown, she has also co-founded a social enterprise that promotes urban farming through workshops and installing rooftop farms across the city.
Samantha holds a BSc in Natural Sciences from Durham University, UK, and is a member of the Durham University Asia Pacific Development Board.
