Only weeks after the series of earthquakes in Lombok, the Indonesian island Sulawesi was struck by earthquakes and a tsunami which resulted in more than 2,000 casualties and more than 537,000 in need of assistance. The Government of Indonesia has accepted offers of international assistance for the Central Sulawesi response, focused on the most urgent needs.
This online briefing is targeted at businesses and foundations interested in understanding priority needs, the landscape of organizations leading local response efforts, and effective ways to provide support. UN OCHA and CSR Asia’s strategic partners working in Indonesia will provide the latest situation update and highlight meaningful and effective channels for contributions from the international business sector.
Given the urgency of the situation, we have opened this online briefing beyond our Strategic Partner Network.
