The CSR Asia Community Development Foundation was founded in 2008 to be better able to access and allocate resources to address the inter-linkages between business, corporate social responsibility and community development in Asia.
Mission
To contribute to alleviating poverty and suffering in Asia through building capacity of organizations to achieve greater community impact.
Governance
The Foundation was registered as a Hong Kong Society in January 2008 and has received tax exemption status in Hong Kong. The Society is currently governed by a board of 4 registered directors in Hong Kong (Richard Welford, Stephen Frost, Erin Lyon and Scott Lam).
Community Investment Round Table
The Community Investment Round Table (CIRT) is one of the key activities of the CSR Asia Community Development Foundation. Going forward, and depending on available resources, we will develop further activities for partnerships for poverty alleviation and community development.
Acknowledgements
The CSR Asia Community Development Foundation would like to extend thanks to and acknowledge the pro-bono support of Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP in Hong Kong. We would also like to thank ICS Trust in Hong Kong for providing us with some initial advice in 2008 as we looked to establish the Foundation.
